We work for clients in identifying sites that meet their development requirements. This usually involves finding a site with the right physical attributes, but also where both the owner and the Local Authority also have a strong sustainability agenda. Vertigo will when necessary take a long term approach to development opportunities through working with stakeholders and politicians to make the chances of acquiring a site and achieving the right consent as high as possible.
Vertigo has strong experience in preparing sites for market and delivering deals. We seek to work closely with the client in specifying development requirements and balancingdesign quality and sustainability with sale proceeds.NB 2008 is not a good year for site disposal! However strategies for maximising value for future disposal/development remain valid.
Where site owners and developers have the same aspirations, a joint venture is often the best route forward. Open book collaboration is so much more satisfying for those involved that the traditional adversarial approach which often underlies the property industry.
